Coronation Celebrations

The Coronation of King Charles III

On Friday, 5th May, we will be celebrating the coronation of King Charles. This will involve a day of Royal themed activities; art, games and music for our children.

Our fantastic kitchen team will also be serving a themed lunch and special royal biscuits! (Usual lunch choices will be available).

Non-uniform:

To make this day even more special, we are inviting children to wear the colours of the United Jack (national flag) – red, white and blue. Children can also dress as a king, queen, princess or prince or as if they were attending a royal ball!

Design a crown competition:

English Martyrs’ is holding a competition to see who can design the best crown fit for a king.

You can use any resources to make the crown. Be as creative as you can - perhaps you could use recycled materials?

Children can bring their crown to wear on Friday 5th May, where we will have a parade to see all of the great designs.

We will pick a winners from each year group; we cannot wait to see you showcasing your crowns!

We hope that this will be a memorable day, marking an historic event for the children.
