Brighten Up for CAFOD!
This Harvest we are supporting CAFOD and joining other schools around the country by brightening up!
We will be joining other schools in building a brighter world for everyone in our local and global family.
Every young person has the right to demand change.
By working together and starting small, everyone can help to create a world where all people have clean water to drink, clean air to breathe and enough food to eat.
Where every child has a safe home and can go to school. Where everyone’s rights are respected, and everyone can live life to the full.
We are going to support our local community by collecting for the food bank and Joe's Place, a local charity who help to feed the homeless.
This year we are collecting tinned food and other non-perishable items throughout the week beginning the 16th October.
There will be collection points in each classroom for children to donate their tinned food.
We are going to support our global family by raising awareness of the work of CAFOD in other countries throughout the world.
On Friday 20th October children will come to school in bright colours to celebrate the theme Brighten Up!
We will celebrate the food we have collected for our local foodbank and pray for the end of world hunger.
