Appeal for the Ukraine. 4th March 2022
Today the School Council met to talk about the situation in Ukraine.
They have asked the school if we could collect items to send to the Ukrainian refugees.
The items will be taken, by some of the school council, to the Polish Centre in Newcastle who are distributing it via warehouses near the Ukrainian border.
The school council will set up collection points both outside, in school grounds and inside school.
The collection will be open from this Monday - 7th March and run until Friday 11th March
These are the things that are most urgently needed:
Personal hygiene products
- soap, shower gel, shampoos and hair conditions , hair brushes
- toothbrushes & toothpaste, for both adults and children
- deodorants and antiperspirants, both men and women
- sanitary towels, panty liners and tampons
- items for women in who have recently given birth and babies e.g. breast feeding pads,
- wet wipes, nappies of various sizes, tissues , cotton pads
Medical supplies
- First Aid kits
Non perishable items
- e.g. canned food, pasta etc.
- baby porridge, baby rice,
- Other items such as colouring books and crayons / markers
The collected items will be sent to the strategic reserves warehouse located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship and will be distributed to centers of temporary stay for Ukrainian families who are cared for in this area or, as needed, transferred for transport to Ukraine.
All goods will be delivered by March 13th, 2022.
