“Children must hold science in the hands before they can hold it in their heads.” Unknown.Our science curriculum encourages children to question the world around them with excitement and curiosity. Here at English Martyrs’, we nurture this curiosity and support the children to help investigate problems. Through the build up of key foundational knowledge and concepts, pupils are encouraged to recognise the power of rational explanations.
Science helps pupils to develop key life skills, including an ability to communicate, reorganized and focus and form their own opinions based on observations, solve problems and carry out investigative skills. Science also helps children develop their senses and overall awareness.
Our science curriculum will equip the children to understand how science can be used to explain what is occurring, predict how things will behave, and analyse cause.
