We are excited to welcome 'Dr Bike' into school on Thursday 23rd May.
A Dr Bike event invites pupils to bring their bikes into school for a free safety check.
Bikes are checked by a trained Bike Officer. Simple faults are fixed whilst more complex faults are identified for parents to have fixed at a bike shop.
Safety checks and minor repairs will be carried out free of charge, including:
- Safety checking bikes
- Inflating tyres
- Make minor alterations to bikes, e.g. tightening handlebars, tightening brakes
This is a great opportunity to ensure your child's bike is safe and ready to use for the summer.
Bring your child’s bike to a member of Sustrans staff, located outside of the KS2 Hall - before school.
They’ll check it over and do any minor repairs, and you can pick it up again at the end of the day.
Whether you’d like some peace of mind about the condition of bike that’s used every day, or you’ve got one sat in the garage that could do with some TLC… bring it to Dr Bike!
Please label the bike with your child’s name and year group – masking tape or gift tags work well for this.
