Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission visit to Newcastle

Parents, Carers and Professionals Survey

Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) are visiting Newcastle to understand more about preparation for adulthood arrangements. As part of the visits, inspectors want to know more about how children have been supported to prepare for adulthood. To support inspectors to understand this, this survey asks questions about the 4 key pathways for preparation for adulthood, based on the SEND code of practice: employment, independent living, community inclusion, and health.

This optional survey should take around 5-10 minutes to complete. Your answers will not contribute to any judgements in your local area, and we are not asking for any details that may identify you.

They will use the evidence they collect to inform the final national report. Findings will not be attributed to any specific area.

This survey is for parents, carers and professionals only. Please click here to complete the survey:

If you are both a parent/carer as well as a professional, please select one perspective for your response. You are welcome to retake the survey from the alternative perspective.

The survey will remain live until 5 p.m. on the 23rd May.
